VILLA FANTASIA HAS STUNNING VIEWS OF PALEOKASTRITSA - A PANORAMIC WONDER!
Villa Fantasia is next door to our own home and has TWO first floor apartments with screened balconies which are very simply furnished in the Greek style.
Villa Fantasia also has ONE ground floor room with en-suite shower room, and very large terrace with access to the kitchen.
The villa is reached by a flight of 42 steps from the road - it sounds a lot but is easy for those who are fit and well - we do it every day! Villa Fantasia above Paleokastritsa Corfu is located just 5 minutes walk from the village of Lakones
Each of the two first floor apartments comprises:
TWO x twin bedded rooms, (quite spacious), a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There's a balcony with dividing screen, table and chairs and well as a kitchen with fridge, oven and cutlery and crockery.
Bathroom with a full sized bath, a shower with toilet and washbasin.
The Ground floor room has twin beds, a wardrobe, and dressing table with a large terrace with table and chairs. and use of the ground floor kitchen.
ALL rooms are cleaned twice weekly with towels and bedlinen changed weekly

Some may say the location of Villa Fantasia is a disadvantage because the villa isn`t right on top of a beach, however the reality for many travellers and visitors is that this is a distinct advantage!
Here, we are part of traditional Greek village life, it`s as real and authentic as it comes, from the occasional braying donkey to the incessant late afternoon chatter of the cicadas, hidden in the trees.... The smell of freshly baked bread on a morning....and a view that even Hollywood couldn`t improve!
And the village is just a 5 minute walk away, where you will find a couple of mini markets, a few very traditional greek bars, and, just as you get into the village is a brilliant little taverna - Boulis - owned by Helen and Spiros.
Boulis, offers fantastic local fare, freshly prepared and cooked, great village wines. Very cosy, very atmospheric. A few yards past is a very authentic ` watering hole` - Vasilikis, great for an ice cold lager, coffee, ouzo lemon, and just breathe in the view beneath you, total paradise, and Vasiliki has even been known to put together a little meze when asked.
Theres also a wonderful restaurant a little closer to home - about 50 m away- the Apollon. Stathis the owner and chef is a real whizz in the kitchen, and no matter what time you land he can somehow deliver you exactly what you want. Theres even a telescope at Stathis` to help make the most of the view.
Looking towards the village, you can see Thimos` mini-market, where you can get everything from delicious freshly baked bread (courtesy of Labbi, Thimos son, who`s the village baker), cheeses, salamis, yoghurts, soft drinks, wines, ouzo, to also having a coffee or a touch of something stronger perhaps..on his terrace overlooking the whole of Paleokastritsa.
On the far side of the village there is a swimming pool, and amazingly on the road up to Lakones from Paleo, there is a delightful little patisserie and coffee shop, too many delicious cakes to choose from!

Villa Fantasia is ideal for those seeking peace and tranquility, fantastic panoramic views and easy access to traditional greek village life. It's a great base for walkers and cyclists (including mountain bikers) as there are many walks and trails in this immediate area - and we can point you in the right direction of course!
It's easy to hire a car if you want to get up and down to the beach or to drive around the magnificent scenery of the island. If you don`t want to be surrounded by crowds and yet have access to excellent food and fantastic views, then the Fantasia is a great choice.
Please note: The decor at the Fantasia is definiitely not 5 star! Very clean, yes. But the Ritz it isn`t!
It really is as we say - simply Greek, simply Paleokastritsa, in fact SIMPLY CORFU!
But there`s nothing simple about the magnificent views, our village and community view or our hospitality!
